Arlington and the University of Texas-Arlington received $50,000 from the U.S. Conference of Mayors for the pilot. This program focuses on low-income households in the city's central and eastern neighborhoods. A Healthy Connections website consolidates community health initiatives, activities, and health tips into a single resource. Project leaders will turn sidewalk audit results and grocery store research into databases on safe walking and fresh food access, respectively.
