Brimbank, VIC East Gippsland Planning Resource Share
Planning staffers sought additional resources for a permit application boom after the 2019-2020 bushfires. The councils approved a Memorandum of Understanding for the shared use of planners across both communities. Brimbank and East Gippsland integrated IT systems for easier communication about their planning permit pipelines. Knowledge exchanges exposed planners to city and shire development challenges not found in their respective communities.
