Cupertino, CA Via On-Demand Transit Pilot

Complete

The 18-month pilot allowed Cupertino residents to request rides on the Via app. A fleet of six-seat vans completed trips to the Sunnyvale Caltrain station and transit hubs. The Via app coordinated routes to maximize service efficiency and meet commuter needs. Each Via-Cupertino ride was priced at $3.50 with per-ride discounts available with weekly and monthly passes. The city also offered discounted rides to seniors, students, and disabled passengers.
