The £300,000 fund supports local businesses and community groups that leverage natural assets for job growth. Successful projects receive up to £50,000 each for employment, training, and service programs that conserve green spaces and coastlines. Funding recipients are expected to complete their projects by March 2023. County leaders estimate that the Natural Capital Challenge Fund will restore 50 hectares of green space and reduce carbon emissions by 3,000 tons.
