Falkirk Council, GB Smart Plowing System Winter

The council added GPS-enabled gritting systems to eight winter service trucks. Each system uses location data to determine the correct amount of grit to apply to roads covered in snow or ice. The Operations team uses GPS tracking to efficiently assign trucks. Falkirk Council designed the systems following collaboration between the Operations and Web & Digital teams.
