Public transport agency VVV in Vorarlberg attracts transit users with mobile ticketing

Improving the experience while reducing costs

In Progress

With the goal of cutting cost of vending machines and relieving drivers of selling fares onboard, the public transport agency of Vorarlberg (VVV) was searching for a mobile-first ticketing solution. With FAIRTIQ, VVV settled for the simplest app that even technophobic users would embrace. During the first wave of the COVID-pandemic, VVV managed to recover fast by turning digital channels into the main sales channel for occasional users, including the rising number of employees working from home.
