Outdoor Wi-Fi hotspots were installed in the Northeast and Frog Hollow neighborhoods to test connectivity speed. The pilot zones will expand to Hartford's remaining neighborhoods in 2021. Residents receive steady access to high-speed Internet from the hotspots after months of relying on inconsistent mobile connections during COVID-19. City departments are working with Dalio Education and the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving to fund the project.
