Lethbridge, AB introduces a Ride by Reservation transit system to help commuters during COVID-19

Lethbridge, AB Ride by Reservation Transit System COVID-19

Complete

The system was created in April 2020 to facilitate distanced transit for essential trips. Commuters requested one-time or weekly trips by phone and took buses to service providers. Each bus was limited to 14 passengers in compliance with distancing requirements. Lethbridge Transit later added an online reservation system that allowed trip reservations up to an hour ahead of bus arrival. Transit riders used the online system for bus tracking and making last-minute cancellations.
