London Royal Borough of Greenwich, GB expands green housing inventory with Greenwich Builds project
London Royal Borough of Greenwich, GB Greenwich Builds
This project pledges to add 750 affordable and eco-friendly homes to the borough by 2022. Council officials worked with A&E Elkins on modular designs that leave minimal construction waste. Each home can be powered on £1 per day thanks to rooftop solar panels and an air-source heat pump. The initial build at Lister Terrace will be followed by 59 other sites. Greenwich Builds sites achieve Energy Performance Certificate ratings of A held by only 1% of UK homes.
