Council-owned NYnet worked with officials in 20 market towns on public Wi-Fi infrastructure upgrades. Network devices were added to town halls and public markets serving the highest concentrations of local residents. This initiative also expanded NYnet's Local Full Fibre system to 12 business parks throughout the county. North Yorkshire County Council pursued these projects to support post-pandemic recovery and address persistent concerns about rural connectivity.
