Council leaders worked with democracyCo on multiple layers of customized engagement for the plan. Forty residents representative of local demographics shaped the plan draft during a three-day People's Forum. Community workshops with Aboriginal residents and young people contributed oft-overlooked perspectives to the plan. Palmerstone garnered additional feedback from 200 respondents to its community ideas survey.
