Porirua City Council, NZ set up a COVID-19 helpline

In Progress

Porirua City Council set up a COVID-19 helpline for anyone needing urgent support during the pandemic shutdowns. The welfare support number is designed for community members without a support network. Residents can call to speak with Council centre staff to obtain access to essentials like food, medication, clothing, etc. The helpline will be staffed from 7am to 7pm every day in order to help stop the spread of the virus in the community.
