Salisbury, SA Sustainable Roads Initiative Recycled Asphalt

Complete

The council kicked off this initiative by using Plastiphalt made from recycled rubber and plastic on Byron Bay Road. Construction company Fulton Hogan produced Plastiphalt from locally sourced materials found in yellow recycling bins. Council leaders also approved resurfacing projects on three roads in Parlowie using HaTelit C Eco. This sustainable asphalt from Huesker spared 200,000 water bottles from landfills and recycling facilities.
