The Seville City Council is collaborating with the Adrienn Arsht-Rockefeller Foundation Resilience Center of the Atlantic Council's Scientific Advisory Panel to scientifically study, name, and categorize heat waves based on their impact on human health. The goal of the project is to raise public awareness, integrate findings into the city's emergency disaster response planning, and implement specific policies to mitigate the damaging effects of heat waves.
