Tampere, FI Reintegrating Bus Drivers After Accidents Model

Tampere City Transit developed the program in recognition of the individual impacts of accidents. Drivers involved in accidents start with mental health counseling and one-on-one conversations about their needs with the operations director. The next stages in the program include driving around the bus depot and completing routes without passengers. Participants return to service once they complete two rides with partner drivers past their accident sites.
