The City of Unley, SA MyCanopy App Tree Strategy Goals
The city's Tree Strategy calls for a net increase of 14,214 trees by 2045. Unley worked with Aerometrex on aerial assessments of tree coverage in 2018 and 2021. MyCanopy users enter local addresses for high-resolution canopy images. The Forestree-powered app shows canopy coverage percentages and changes between the two assessments. Council officials plan future assessments to identify sources of canopy loss and new planting opportunities.
