The project uses an asphalt mix containing recycled glass sourced from a recycling facility in Laverton North. A two-year resurfacing project will evaluate the mix's costs, durability, and impact on glass in provincial landfills. Brimbank officials are coordinating with the Australian Road Research Board and the Victorian Department of Transport on the pilot.
