Coventry City Council, GB encourages low-emission transit options with Mobility Credits pilot
Coventry City Council, GB Mobility Credits Transit Pilot
Project leaders are evaluating how different incentives can reduce traffic congestion and emissions. The two-year pilot invites households in high-pollution areas of Coventry to scrap their cars for £3,000 cards. Initial participants in the program were limited to using their cards for public transit, rideshares, bike shares, and car clubs. Coventry and Transport for West Midlands expanded the program to allow bike purchases of up to 50% of the card's value.
