The Public Works Department assembled teams in response to high rates of contaminated recycling after the COVID-19 shutdown. Each team reviewed the contents of blue recycling bins for proper technique. A notice was placed on any bins with yard waste, foam, plastic bags, and other non-recyclable items. Tagged bins were not collected and impacted households called a dedicated number to learn more about blue bin usage.
