Falkirk Council, GB strengthens home care communications with Analogue to Digital Telecare Project

Falkirk Council, GB Analogue to Digital Telecare Project

In Progress

The project replaces traditional phone lines with digital connections for residents receiving home care services. This connection boosts the reliability of each resident's Mobile Emergency Care Service (MECS) box in case of emergency situations. Falkirk Council also added an Alarm Receiving Centre that communicates MECS data to first responders prior to dispatch. Council leaders anticipate 4,000 households receiving MECS coverage will be upgraded by the end of 2021.
