Gilpin County, CO fire detection and location system pilot
Gilpin County is partnering with N5 Sensors to pilot a new wildfire detection and location system. The N5 Sensors system uses sensors mounted throughout target areas designed to detect chemical traces, smoke particulates, and gases in the air, and measure heat. The sensors relay these readings to a cloud-based algorithm that analyzes the data to update digital maps and deliver alerts with coordinates to first responders.
