Guelph, ON Low Emission Bus Transit Network Charger
City officials announced the purchase of 65 all-electric buses to replace a majority of its 74-bus fleet. Guelph added chargers on transit routes to help idled buses keep their batteries charged. A new garage with charging stations and specialized equipment maintain the upgraded fleet. These transit upgrades followed the city's announcement that it plans a full conversion of its police fleet to hybrid vehicles by 2023.
