Hartford, CT equips entire police department with cameras
The city of Hartford is equipping every single sworn member, approximately 400 officers, of the Hartford Police Department with body cameras. The body camera technology, including licensing and storage fees, costs the city approximately $2.2 million over five years. The vendor will replace the cameras every two-and-a-half years and after the first five-year contract the city would only pay for licensing and cloud storage.
