Indianapolis, IN enhances public school connectivity with Marion County Dedicated Network Pilot
Indianapolis, IN Marion County Dedicated Network Pilot
The seven-month program distributes 1,500 Wi-Fi hotspots to 2,000 users near six public schools. K-12 students connect to remote learning for free through the Citizens Broadband Radio Service from SBA Communications. The hotspots allow up to 2,000 video users near selected schools to share high-speed connections. A successful pilot would lead city officials to expand Wi-Fi connectivity across all public schools in Marion County.
