Borough officials worked with Age UK Camden to provide more than 600 grocery deliveries per week during the initial months of COVID-19. The program began with six library workers redeployed to fulfill requests. Each delivery included milk, bread, toiletries, and other essential items. The initiative served households of all ages who were unable to shop and had two days or less of food on hand.
