The council worked with the Ilford Business Improvement District (BID) to design the scheme. Ilford BID businesses apply for assurance marks through the council. Business owners pay small fees and complete online health assessments to qualify for the highest marks. A successful assessment results in a certificate for the storefront along with placement in an online listing. Borough inspectors conduct random audits of businesses to ensure compliance with COVID-19 regulations.
