County officials incurred no cost for the trial run of Bird, Lime, and Lyft scooters. The service zone included central and southwestern portions of Montgomery County. Commuters unlocked scooters from stations for $1 with per-minute fees varying by operator. The pilot focused scooter use on park trails and low-speed streets to avoid traffic issues. Montgomery County approved a one-year extension and added Spin as an operator to gather additional data.
