Mount Gambier, SA eases household bulk waste concerns with collection trial

Mount Gambier, SA Household Bulk Waste Collection Trial

Complete

Every household in Mount Gambier was eligible for one free collection of up to two cubic meters. Participating households reserved pickup times for televisions, furniture, and other bulky items during the six-month pilot. The council hired temporary collection staff who were financially impacted by COVID-19. The Bulky Waste Trial allowed the waste management staff to divert waste from the landfill through recycling or reuse.
