Owen Sound, ON sharps disposal kiosk pilot

The City of Owen Sound partnered with Grey Bruce Public Health and Owen Sound Police Services to launch a one-year sharps disposal kiosk pilot project. The city installed a large sharps disposal kiosk in a central and accessible location downtown. Residents can use the kiosk to safely discard hypodermic needles, insulin syringes, scalpels, lancets, and wires. The pilot was designed to prevent punctures and leaks caused by improperly disposed sharps.
