Phoenix, AZ Street Smart Tech Downtown Safety Maintenance
Argos Vision traffic cameras were installed at high-traffic intersections near City Hall and Arizona State University's campus. Each camera analyzes traffic types and concentrations with an AI-enabled computer. ASU researchers and city officials will analyze data on near-misses of pedestrians by cars and bikes. The cameras also generate data on vehicle types for predictive road maintenance. The one-year pilot is part of the Vision Zero Road Safety Action Plan passed in 2022.
