St. John's, NL Free Wi-Fi Zones Parks Digital Connectivity

In Progress

The city installed Wi-Fi equipment at Bannerman Park and Victoria Park to address digital poverty worsened by COVID-19. Each park features signs indicating the best spots for users to access free Wi-Fi. City officials selected these parks to maximize use near shelters, social service centers, and transit stops. The Canadian Medical Association Foundation assisted with the project due to the urgent need for online access to health services.
