What the FOGO? added food and garden organic (FOGO) bins to general waste and recycling bins at residential addresses. City officials promoted the program with community events, weekly social media posts, and a series of 14 educational videos. Vincent emphasized accessibility in the program's design with Bin Braille Kits and instructional information in 12 languages. Verge Valet Vincent replaces the city's annual bulk waste collections with on-demand residential service.

Project Succeeded

Vincent reported a 97% recovery rate from its FOGO bin collections through the program's first year. The council won the Waste Management category at the 2022 National Awards for Local Government.
