Municipal leaders authorized the creation of 20,000 Ropi tickets for distribution to local residents. Participants download the Le Ropi app and deposit 10 euros to receive 21 Ropi in their accounts. A network of shops and restaurants treats each Ropi as equivalent to one euro for purchases. Business owners redeem Ropi for euro payments from a €300,000 program fund. The program allows users to pay via the mobile app or withdraw paper currency in denominations from 0.5 to 10 Ropi.

The Department of Social Policies of Roma Capitale distributed shopping vouchers and food packages to help residents in difficult economic conditions during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Capitol allocated 15 million euros to make over 2000 shopping vouchers available for download, via a partnership with the Eldered mobile app, which could be used to purchase food or basic necessities. The Capitol also distributed 45,000 packages containing coffee, food, cooking ingredients, and non-perishables.

Borough residents are asked to complete a short survey about their experiences with loneliness. This UK-first survey is available in 11 languages and requires no personal information for completion. Researchers at Imperial College London will map responses by postal code to find hotspots of social isolation. This information helps local officials as they develop engagement efforts and programs at the neighborhood level.
