The city of Besançon partnered with the Office of Trade and Crafts of Besançon, the Union of Traders of Besançon, and the association La Pive to support local businesses with the launch of a shopping voucher program. Residents can purchase these shopping vouchers and exchange them for discounts at local shops. Each order of vouchers comes bundled with a scratch card that gives the recipient a chance to win gifts worth €50 from participating businesses.

The energy kits include thermal cameras, power meters, thermo-hygrometers, and flow meters which allow residents to measure their household's energy losses, electricity usage, water consumption, and humidity levels. The measurement results are then provided to professionals to conduct the necessary renovations to reduce utility bills.

Besançon, BFC is deploying a contactless open loop fare collection system for transit passengers
The city of Besançon is partnering with Keolis Besançon, a ticketing solution specialist Kuba, La Banque Postale, and payment services provider Littlepay to deploy a contactless open loop fare collection system for more than 200 buses and trams. The system provides a frictionless, tap-to-ride experience, where passengers tap a contactless payment method onto a Kuba payment reader as they board. The city is modernizing ticketing to make fare payments simpler and boarding faster for passengers.
