The City of Bessemer partnered with Avenu to increase revenue by reviewing business licenses using data and analytics. Avenu compared the city's business tax roll with a predictive database to generate a file of probably unlicensed businesses. After revenue professionals reviewed this list, the city deployed Avenu's system for distributing notices and processing online payments for license registrations and renewals.
