Birmingham City Council, GB explores digital twin potential for Tyeseley Industrial Area development
Birmingham City Council, GB Digital Twin Tyeseley Area
The council, the University of Birmingham, and Siemens are studying a digital twin for the Tyseley Environmental Enterprise District (TEED). This area is under a Local Development Order allowing expedited permissions for emissions-reducing projects. The feasibility study primarily focuses on the impacts of a digital twin on energy retrofits for industrial buildings. City officials will use study results in pursuit of outside funding for digital twin implementation.
