Birmingham City Council, GB streamlines field worker routing and data entry with Guardian app

Birmingham City Council, GB Guardian Field Worker App

In Progress

An eight-week study identified challenges for field workers including lack of connectivity and siloed reporting systems. The cloud-based Guardian app provides a single view of service requests, notes, and assignments across departments. Council officials anticipate reduced data errors and more efficient deployment of 7,000 employees in areas from Fire & Risk to Elective Education. Birmingham City Council received £350,000 from the Local Digital Fund for the app's development.
