Burnley Borough Council is planning to introduce a "free after 3" car parking scheme to boost the local economy. The scheme would run as a three-month trial allowing motorists to park for free on any council-owned car parks any time after 3pm every day, The scheme is being designed to support local businesses by encouraging local shopping in the Burnley town centre.

Burnley Council is considering introducing a "free after 3" car parking scheme to help boost the local economy.If agreed, motorists will be able to park for free on all council-run car parks across the borough from 3pm, every day of the week. Charges will still apply at other times of the day.The scheme would run for a three-month trial period, starting on 20th February 2021.
