Jefferson County, AL is planning to install surveillance cameras to stop illegal dumping
Jefferson County is planning to work with the Sheriff's Department and the Department of Environmental Services to install cameras that can stop illegal dumping. According to county commissioners, illegal dumping has gotten worse and flooding is distributing trash across the region's creeks, streams, and rivers. The county is especially concerned about reducing incidents of illegal dumping because the 2022 World Games will be hosted in the area.
