Jyväskylä, FI demonstrates digital identity possibilities with pilot in Kangas Smart City district

Nixu's Identity and Access Management product and IOXIO's Dataspace service were combined for the pilot. This system connected pilot zone resident identities to smart house keys. Participants verified their sign-in credentials for a service portal using their keys. Programmed keys also provided access to parking garages and other facilities. Project partners identified additional use cases for identity interoperability including home care and recreational services.

The City of Jyväskylä partnered with Process Genius Oy to develop the Eteläportti virtual platform. The Eteläportti platform was designed to help companies plan and test construction projects for free in a confidential environment. Users can view a map of local land plots along with relevant information such as plot sizes, layout regulations, location information, vacancies, etc. The platform's design tool allows users to model buildings on these plots and view transport connections.

The City of Jyväskylä partnered with Woolman Oy to create a local online store that supports small specialty stores and service providers. The online store was designed to help small local companies lean how to setup and maintain an online store while testing the sale of their product or service online. Customers had the option to purchase products online to support local businesses during the challenging market situations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
