Little Rock, AR mobilizes neighborhood groups for streetlight mapping with Lights On Little Rock
Lights On Little Rock asked neighborhood associations to monitor streetlight performance. Participants built mapping routes in the Citizens Connect platform or contacted city employees for route-planning assistance. Each team reported flickering or non-functional streetlights through the LR 311 mobile app. Coordination between the groups and the city's data team prevented duplicate routes. The project produced valuable data for Little Rock and Entergy as they maintain 26,000 streetlights.
