Empresa Municipal de Transportes de Madrid (EMT) will install inverted pantograph charging at its Fuencarral Operations Center. Chargers descending from the facility's ceiling can handle up to 20 buses from any manufacturer at the same time. The trial period evaluates the day-to-day functionality of automated charging with three electric buses. Transit officials plan an implementation period of six months after the pilot for its entire plug-in bus fleet.

The Madrid Food Innovation Hub selected 12 foodtech innovators from across Spain for the program's first cohort. The Platform for Legacy with Us (PLUS) evaluates scheduled conferences, meetings, and exhibitions for their carbon footprints. Event organizers enter the number of guests, venue types, and other details for customized reports. The Madrid Convention Bureau designed PLUS to recommend local contractors and service providers familiar with sustainable event planning. This first-in-Spain platform generates post-event reports of emissions created by organizers and attendees.

Madrid, MD converts its public design lab into a collaborative toy studio for Juguetoria program
City-owned Medialab-Prado asks for innovative toy concepts from engineers, teachers, and creative residents. Five projects will be selected for further development within the FabLab design studio.
