Paris, IDF introduces an hourly parking fee for motorcyclists to reduce pollution and traffic issues
Paris, IDF motorcyclists parking fee system
The city of Paris is implementing an hourly parking fee for gas-powered, two-wheel vehicles to help reduce pollution and parking congestion. Motorcyclists will be charged up to €3 an hour, increasing to €37.50 for six hours, for parking their vehicles on the city's streets. Anyone without a ticket will be made to pay the full six-hour rate. Electric-powered cycles will remain free, and people who ride motorbikes as part of their jobs can register in advance for discounted parking rates.
