Parma, EMI launched €188,000 worth of incentives to encourage bicycle commuting

The City of Parma launched a series of incentives to encourage the use of bicycles for commuting to-and-from work. The incentives have cost the city €57,000 in funds along with a loan of €131,000 from the Emilia-Romagna Region. The "bike to work" campaign includes kilometer incentives for home-work trips which companies can track with an app to measure employee bike traveling, incentives to reduce the cost of bike-sharing, and incentives to reduce the cost of storing bicycles at velostations.
