València, VC adopts mobile waste collection containers for improved recycling in Ciutat Vella Nord
Ciutat Vella Nord presented a waste collection challenge due to narrow streets and significant foot traffic. Fifteen 1,000-liter containers accept landfill waste and recyclables for daily collection. València removes the containers for four hours each evening to minimize impacts on local nightlife. Daily collections from neighborhood businesses reduce the volume of waste placed in public bins. This project eliminated 78 fixed containers through targeted placements of mobile containers.
