The City of Welland developed the Welland Recreation Corridor (WRC) as a fun, interactive, and engaging approach to linking residents and visitors with local public places. The WRC includes eight city-owned landmarks which have been branded with QR code signage. Users can scan these codes to receive information on special events, maps, links to the city's website, local activities, etc. The WRC was designed to promote the city's community assets and encourage people to experience public venues.
