Participating teams were asked to develop pedestrian and cyclist safety technology based on existing IoT infrastructure. This infrastructure includes traffic sensors and cameras concentrated on the Purdue University campus. Finalists received up to $15,000 for prototype development, access to Purdue research facilities, and networking opportunities with prospective investors. The winning team receives $10,000 for a six-month pilot of their solution.
