Winnipeg Transit and Via will route on-demand buses in three trial zones using automated planning software. Areas 101 and 102 provide service seven days a week, while Area 110 is operational Monday through Saturday. The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) used a drone for 40 incident responses during the pilot period. The drone holds thermal imaging equipment that locates fire sources in case of heavy smoke or physical obstructions.
