Boulder, CO studies the future of loading zones with its curbside management pilot project

Boulder, CO Curbside Management Pilot Project Loading Zones

In Progress

The city designated nine Flexible Loading Zones (FLZ) in the high-traffic downtown and University Hill districts. Each FLZ offers around-the-clock access to rideshare, commercial delivery, and food delivery drivers for up to 10 minutes per visit. FLZs were created from existing loading zones with different time limitations and marked with Curbside Loading Only signs. Local officials are studying the impacts of FLZs on traffic and parking patterns through December 2022.
