Chicago, IL provides help for struggling residents with Administrative Debt Relief Pilot Program
Chicago, IL Administrative Debt Relief Pilot Program
This program takes aim at debts from fees and collection expenses accrued following administrative hearing fines. A Standard Relief path open to all individuals and businesses waives associated fees with full payment of fines or payment plan enrollment. There is also a Hardship Relief pathway for residents receiving utility relief or earning less than 300% of the federal poverty level. This option waives fees and costs when 50% of fines are paid or payment plans are initiated.
